Fresh snow greeted snowboarders and skiers on Mount Ashland Wednesday, after winter storms deposited 20 inches over three days. The mountain has a base of 50 to 85 inches, and all 23 runs — including Dream and Caliban — are open. The ski area operates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily through Jan. 3, then closes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the rest of the season. Twilight skiing will be offered Thursdays and Fridays Jan. 6 through March 11. Snowboarders and skiers can expect partly sunny skies today, then a good chance of more snow by Christmas.
