SPOTLIGHT ON LADIES OF THE BRITISH INVASION: Written by and starring local singer Gayle Wilson, the musical spotlight will focus on soul singer Dusty Springfield and pop singer Petula Clark, The show will feature 25 songs, such as "Son of a Preacher Man" and "Downtown." WHITE CHRISTMAS: Irving Berlin's holiday musical is based on the 1954 film starring Danny Kaye, Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney. The stage adaptation premiered in 2004 in San Francisco and opened on Broadway in 2009. Full of song, dance and romantic mix-ups, Camelot Theatre's production of "White Christmas" will preview Dec. 2, open Dec. 3 and run through Dec. 31. THE WIZARD OF PANTO-LAND: A musical comedy in the style of British pantomine, or panto, will open Friday, Nov. 19 and run through Dec. 31. A preview will be offered Thursday, Nov. 18. This is the fifth panto created by OCT Artistic Director Jim Giancarlo. Others include "Cindy Rella," "Alice in Panto-Land," "Ali Baba" and "Snow White and Several Dweebs." "The Wizard of Panto" brings a zany slant to "The Wizard of Oz," putting Dorothy, Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion on the Yellow Brick Road to The White City where they hope to find the Wizard of Ozegon. Curtain is at 8 p.m. nightly and at 1 p.m. Sundays, except Nov. 22, 25 and 30 and Dec. 7, 14, 24 and 25. Tickets cost $19 for the preview, $21 for Sunday evening performances; $27 for Sunday matinees; $27 and $29 for weeknight shows; and $31 and $33 for Friday and Saturday shows. A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE: Tennessee Williams' landmark drama will run through Nov. 21 in the Center Stage Theatre at SOU. Blanche DuBois lies to herself and others to avoid the hand that fate has dealt her, but reality overcomes fantasy, driving the jaded woman mad. The play earned Williams a Pulitzer Prize for drama in 1948. Performances are set for 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 18-20. Matinees are set for 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 20-21.
