Theodore Jackson was born and raised in Hollywood, Calif., on December 27, 1925, to Wayne and Hazel Drake Jackson. He graduated from Hollywood High School, Los Angeles Communnity College, and Woodbury College in Los Angeles. He worked for Los Angeles county as a deputy sheriff and at Walker Buerge Ford. He retired to Ashland in 1992. He was a member of Ashland Masonic Lodge and Hillah Shrine. Ted was an avid USC football fan and has followed them for many years. He was a great fisherman and always caught fish when no one else could.

Survivors include his wife, Beth; daughter, Jennifer Clarke, of Ashland, Ore.; son, Patrick Jackson, of Los Angeles, Calif.; grandson, Jonathan Clarke, of Ashland, Ore.; sisters, Janette Ransom, of Payson, Ariz. and Patricia McKnight (Joe), of Vacaville, Calif.; sister-in-law, Natalie Garrett, of Ashland, Ore.; and seven nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010, at 3:00 p.m., at the Ashland Masonic Lodge.
