Jeanette Hawkins, 80, passed away September 30, 2010, at Farmington Square Care Center in Medford, Ore. She was born May 2, 1930, in Whiting, Iowa, to Lee and Mary Kile. Jeanette had lived in Rogue River, Ore., since 1943.
She was a Rogue River High School graduate, class of 1948. She married David Lynn Wray in 1952, they later divorced. On November 29, 1958, she married Elvin Hawkins; they were later divorced. Jeanette was a homemaker and a secretary. She enjoyed volleyball, tennis, bowling and sewing.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Steve Wray; daughter, Leisa Johnson; sister, Pat Zieser; brothers, George, Jim and Byron (Tut) Kile; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Kile; and sister, Ann Davis.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 2, 2010, at 1:00 p.m., at New Beginnings Christian Center, located at 270 W. Evans Creek. Rd., Rogue River, Ore.
