The Ashland Fine Art Music Festival: A preview of what opera lovers can expect from a new music festival will be presented at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the Ashland Community Center, 59 Winburn Way. On Monday, Sept. 6, soprano Chrystelle Couturier will present a full-length concert from the dramatic soprano repertoire at 7:30 p.m. at the community center. call for auditions: The Siskiyou Singers invite those with choral experience to audition for its fall concert that will feature Mozart's "Vesperae Solennes de Confessore" for chorus and orchestra. Auditions will be held at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, in Wesley Hall at the First United Methodist Church, 175 N. Main St., Ashland. No prepared material will be necessary. Benefit Show: Ashland Parks and Recreation will host a benefit for victims of the Oak Knoll Fire at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Oak Knoll Golf Course, 3070 Highway 66, Ashland. There will be live entertainment by celebrity impersonator Clint Ingbretson, along with a raffle and silent auction. A round of nine holes of golf will be available for $8. There will be complimentary appetizers and desserts, and beer and wine will be available. The cost is $20 per person or $30 per couple. The finalists will perform at 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Donnelly's. The winning solo artist or band will receive a chance to perform at the International Blues Challenge to be held in Memphis. Tickets cost $18 in advance, $20 at the door, $10 for ages 12-17. Those younger than 12 will be admitted free.
