Police arrested a 44-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants in the area of East Main and South Second Streets.

Thursday 12:12 p.m. — A gas station reported receiving a counterfeit $10 bill in the 400 block of East Main Street.

Thursday 4:12 p.m. — Police received a report of possible child abuse in the Ashland area.

Thursday 6:56 p.m. — A fraud was reported in the Ashland area after a local woman reported being involved in what's known as the "Grandparents Scam." An Ashland woman received a call from someone pretending to be her grandson claiming that he had been arrested in Montreal, Canada and needed money wired to him for bail. The woman was then contacted by another man who identified himself as her grandson's attorney, and the woman issued $1,026.00 via Western Union to an unknown location in Montreal, Canada. The woman contacted family members and learned that her grandson was not in jail after the supposed attorney contacted the woman a second time.

Thursday 11:18 p.m. — Police located a female runaway juvenile. The juvenile was planed into protective custody and released to her parents in the 200 block of Tolman Creek Road.

Friday 1:15 a.m. — Police arrested a 44-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants in the area of East Main and South Second Streets. He was cited for refusing a breath test and was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Friday 2:58 a.m. — Police arrested a 28-year-old woman in the area of Bush Street and Central Avenue after she was found to be too impaired to operate a motor vehicle. She was cited and released.
