Ashland will celebrate National Tourism Week and Historic Preservation Week with several events Sunday, May 9, through Friday, May 14.

Included will be a free front-line customer service training on Tuesday, May 11, at the Historic Ashland Armory. Employees from all service areas can learn the newest information regarding Ashland's amenities from 9 to 11 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m. To register, go to www.ashlandchamber.com.

Sunday, May 9 — Cemetery walking tour led by Historic Commissioner Terry Skibby. Meet at the Morton Street entrance at 2 p.m. (1.5 hour tour).

Tuesday, May 11 — The Ashland Historic Preservation Awards Ceremony with Mayor John Stromberg presenting. Ashland Community Center, noon.

Wednesday, May 12 — Ashland Memorial Mausoleum self-guided tour, east side of Highway 66 and Normal Avenue, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Friday, May 14 — Ashland Historic Railroad District walking tour led by Skibby. Meet at the gazebo in the Railroad District Park on A Street at 2 p.m.
