debbie friedman: Acoustic songwriter Debbie Friedman will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at Havurah Shir Hadash, 185 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Friedman takes her inspiration from the Torah and the Old Testament to create contemporary Jewish music performed in the style of Peter, Paul and Mary, Joan Baez and Bob Dylan. She teaches music at the Jewish Institute of Religion in Los Angeles. Tickets cost $22 in advance, $25 at the door and $10 for ages 12 through 17. Children younger than 12 will be admitted free. miranda lambert: Country music recording artist Miranda Lambert will perform at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 26, at the Medford Armory, 1701 S. Pacific Highway. The show is part of "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars," Lambert's first headline tour. Lambert broke onto the country music scene in 2003 and signed with Epic Records. Her 2005 debut album, "Kerosene," was a platinum seller. Lambert's third album, "Revolution," was released last September. Tickets cost $29.75 and are available at www.ticketmaster.com.

SASSY!: "Stage and Screen Sing-along, Yeah," a monthly musical theater sing-along led by Laura Derocher and David Gabriel, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, March 28, at Mountain Meadows Community Clubhouse, 857 Mountain Meadows Drive, Ashland. Darcy Danielson, musical director at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, will be the accompanist.
