Two unknown suspects pulled up and assaulted a man in the area of Lithia Way and North Pioneer Street.

Thursday 6:54 a.m. — A known person turned in a wallet found in the first block of North Main Street. The item was stored in police lost and found, and the owner will be notified by mail.

Thursday 8:26 a.m. — A known person turned in a wallet, car keys and a cell phone found in the 100 block of Lithia Way. The items were stored in police lost and found, and the owner will be notified by mail.

Thursday 11:50 a.m. — Police cited a 28-year-old man for driving while suspended during a traffic stop in the area of Oak Street and Lithia Way. The man was cited and released.

Thursday 2:35 p.m. — Police arrested a 41-year-old man on outstanding warrants in the 400 block of Walker Avenue. The man was lodged at Jackson County Jail, and was additionally cited to appear at the municipal court for criminally driving while suspended.

Thursday 5:37 p.m. — Police arrested a 27-year-old man for theft after the security officer at Market of Choice caught the man shoplifting a pack of raspberries.

Friday 2:59 p.m. — Two unknown suspects pulled up and assaulted a man in the area of Lithia Way and North Pioneer Street. The suspects left the man lying unconscious and partially in the roadway and fled in their vehicle, and the assault caused bleeding to the man's eye. Ashland Fire and Rescue attended to the victim, but he refused treatment. The victim refused to cooperate with any investigation and stated that he would not press charges.
