Police arrested a 25-year-old man for shoplifting at Market of Choice in the 1400 block of Siskiyou Boulevard.

Monday 10:10 a.m. — Police responded to a residence in the 100 block of Wightman Street to assist Department of Human Services. Upon further investigation, a 32-year-old man was lodged at Jackson County Jail for possession of than an ounce of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

Monday 1:54 p.m. — A known person turned in a wallet found in the first block of North Main Street. The owner will be notified by mail, and the wallet will be stored in police lost and found.

Monday 2:40 p.m. — PremierWest Bank reported that they received a counterfeit $20 bill in the 2200 block of Ashland Street.

Monday 7:33 p.m. — A known juvenile ran away from the Lithia Springs Boys Home in the 200 block of Walker Avenue.

Monday 8:41 p.m. — Police arrested a 25-year-old man for shoplifting at Market of Choice in the 1400 block of Siskiyou Boulevard. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail.
