Vernon Snyder: A Southern Oregon University alumnus, pianist Vernon Snyder will perform at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in the Music Recital Hall on the SOU campus, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Snyder studied under pianist Alexander Tutunov and earned a bachelor's in music and education at SOU, and he earned his master's at California State University at Long Beach, under the instruction of Shun-Lin Chou. In 2008, Snyder studied piano in Vienna, Austria. Vernon's solo recital at SOU will include the music of Mozart, Brahms, Debussy and Prokofiev.
