The Ashland Food Cooperative has partnered with COWHORN, an Applegate Valley winery, to convert used corks into compostable wine packs with a minimum of 99 percent recycled content. Corks collected at the Co-op and the Applegate Valley tasting room are sent to Corvallis-based Western Pulp. COWHORN is also recycling used wine bottles into goblets, pitchers, tumblers, vases and votives, with the help of The Green Glass Company. For more information visit cowhornwine.com.
