Police contacted a 29-year-old man after observing him urinating in public in the area of North Pioneer Street and Lithia Way.

Friday 8:58 a.m. — Police and Ashland Fire & Rescue responded to an overdosed person in the 700 block of Oak Street. The 23-year-old woman voluntarily went with AFR for medical attention.

Friday 5:19 p.m. — Police received a faxed report from the Department of Human Services for possible mental injury or neglect occurring in the Ashland area.

Friday 9:57 p.m. — Police investigated a report of a loud party in the 500 block of Rock Street that resulted in three juveniles issued citations for minor in possession of alcohol and one of the juveniles issued a citation for providing a place for minors to drink alcohol. Police additionally arrested and jailed a 20-year-old man for violating his probation and arrested an 18-year-old for trespassing, causing a detention warrant to be issued by the 18-year-old man's probation officer. The 18-year-old man was also transported and lodged at the Jackson County Jail.

Saturday 12:46 a.m. — Police arrested a 29-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants during a traffic stop in the first block of Rose Avenue. He was transported to detox where he blew a .11 percent BAC and was cited and released.

Saturday 3:24 a.m. — Police contacted a 29-year-old man after observing him urinating in public in the area of North Pioneer Street and Lithia Way. The man had a warrant for his arrest out of Ashland, and was subsequently arrested. He was transported to Jackson County Jail and was lodged on the warrant and cited for urinating in public.

Saturday 1:01 p.m. — An 89-year-old man was found to have a suspended license at the corner of East Main and Fordyce streets. The man's vehicle was subsequently impounded.

Saturday 1:40 p.m. — A woman reported her cell phone stolen while at Standing Stone Brewery in the 100 block of Oak Street. Contact with the suspect is pending at this time.

Saturday 2:14 p.m. — Police assisted Southern Oregon University Campus Public Safety with a report of an intoxicated man sleeping on SOU property in the 400 block of Wightman Street. The man was transported to the Moore Center for detoxification after police determined he was too intoxicated to care for himself. He later blew a .249 percent BAC.

Saturday 2:58 a.m. — A known man was taken into protective custody and later released to a sober adult in the first block of East Main Street.

Saturday 10:31 p.m. — Police arrested a 28-year-old man after he was found to have a valid Jackson County warrant for failure to appear on a disorderly conduct charge. He was additionally found to be in possession of one and a half oxycodone pills. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail.

Sunday 2:42 a.m. — Police arrested a 23-year-old woman for driving under the influence of intoxicants in the 500 block of North Main Street. She was issued a citation and released to a sober adult.

Sunday 3:12 p.m. — Police cited and released a 42-year-old man for trespassing in the second degree at the Arco AM/PM convenience store in the 2300 block of Ashland Street.

Sunday 6:07 p.m. — Police investigated a sudden death in the Ashland area.

Sunday 10:51 p.m. — Police arrested a 28-year-old man for violating a restraining order in the 1600 block of Siskiyou Boulevard. The man was a suspect in an August 2009 assault case that the officer had handled, and the officer saw the man in a vehicle with the victim of that case. The officer knew that the man still had an active order prohibiting him from contacting the victim.

Monday 1:26 a.m. — A person was taken to Rogue Valley Medical Center for a mental health evaluation in the 200 block of Fourth Street.
