Thursday, 7:34 p.m. — Police responded to Market of Choice, where a store security officer was detaining a man for shoplifting $8.68 worth of merchandise. The man was cited for theft.

Thursday, 10:57 p.m. — Police arrested a man on a warrant charging parole violation on the original charge of ID theft. The man provided a false name and was lodged at the Jackson County jail on the warrant and the additional charge of providing false information to an officer.
