This Saturday as the summer winds down and students return to Southern Oregon University to begin their fall semester, local and out of town hip-hop acts will converge on Stillwater to usher in cooler weather and bid adieu to sunny days and red fire warnings with fun, entertainment, and live music.

The End of Summer Hip Hop Explosion is scheduled to kick off at 9 p.m. and feature the music of Black Ops, Diesel P, Black Science, MY-G, TLA, One Movement, and Bad Habitat who kicked off their Northwest Underrated Favorites Tour this Wednesday beginning in Sacramento and wrapping up in Portland on Oct 9.

Bad Habitat is a Portland-based hip-hop group that has garnered a serious following since coming on the scene in the summer of 2008 — performing with such artists as Slick Rick the Ruler, Canibus, and Rahzel.

Other recent performances at Stillwater have included D12, Burnt, and the Reverend Payton's Big Damn Band.

Stillwater is located on 1951 Ashland St. and tickets will be $10 at the door for the show which features more than five hours of live hip-hop with seven acts.
