Tuesday 12:32 a.m. — Police referred a confidential case in the 400 block of Drager Street to the Department of Human Services.

Tuesday 3:10 a.m. — Police cited a 27-year-old man for a drug law violation in the first block of North Main Street.

Tuesday 8:13 a.m. — A person known to police turned in an abandoned bicycle, which was stored in the police bike compound.

Tuesday 8:14 a.m. — A person known to police turned in money found at the intersection of Liberty and Holly streets. It was stored in a police safe.

Tuesday 7:58 a.m. — Police responded to a report of car theft in the 1300 block of Mill Pond Road.

Tuesday 8:59 a.m. — Police responded to a report of car theft in the 500 block of Holly Street.

Tuesday 2:45 p.m. — Police determined that a woman had not made payments on her leased saxophone since May. Cripple Creek Music reported the saxophone as stolen leased property three months later. The woman is believed to have moved to Missouri. The case will be forwarded to the Jackson County District Attorney's Office.

Tuesday 9:26 p.m. — An officer found a rifle in a dumpster in the 2200 block of Ashland Street that was determined to have been stolen from a vehicle in Yreka about two hours earlier. The rifle will be returned to its owner.

Tuesday 10:59 p.m. — Police investigated a report that unknown suspects had entered a home in the 1000 block of Tolman Creek Road and had stolen a purse. Early Wednesday morning, the Roseburg Police Department arrested three people in a theft case and found they were in possession of the purse. They will be charged with burglary and theft.
