In just the second week of Cascade Conference volleyball action, Southern Oregon will hit the road for what will likely be its toughest road trip of the regular season.

The 21st-ranked Raiders (8-1, 2-0 CCC) travel to Eastern Oregon on Friday and 12th-ranked College of Idaho on Saturday.

Southern Oregon enters this weekend on a seven-match winning streak, including a five-game home victory over up-and-coming Concordia last Saturday at McNeal Pavilion.

"I like the fact that we were pushed Saturday night," SOU head coach Josh Rohlfing said. "Even though we didn't play our best at times, we found a way to win at the end and had a couple different players rise to the occasion at different times during the match."

The Raiders continue to lead the Cascade Conference across the board in several key offensive categories.

Southern Oregon leads the conference in attack percentage (.244), assists per game (12.27) and kills per game (13.18). The Raiders also rank second to College of Idaho in blocks per game (2.45) and fourth in service aces (1.76 per game).

Juniors Leah Bergstrom, Heather Porter and Chelsea Hartman all rank in the top five in attack percentage. Bergstrom ranks second at .330, Porter ranks third at .323 and Hartman ranks fifth at .284. Raider setter Caryn Westrick ranks fifth in the conference in assists per game (5.68), an impressive feat considering she shares setting duties with teammate Angela Spieker, who ranks seventh (5.45).

Eastern Oregon is 4-3 overall and 2-0 in conference action and received votes in this week's NAIA Top 25 poll. The Mountaineers' only setbacks have come to three ranked opponents.

The College of Idaho has won five straight matches after dropping a five-game match to second-ranked Concordia (Calif.) in the Coyotes' season opener.

After this weekend's road matches, SOU returns home to host Northwest and Evergreen State.
