An information session on the H1N1 flu will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 11 at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Forensics Lab, 1490 E. Main St. Registration begins at 6:30 p.m.
The forum, sponsored by the Community Emergency Response Team, will include Dr. Jim Shames of Jackson County Health and Human Services and Beth DePew, Region 5 Hospital Preparedness coordinator, with members of Southern Oregon University, Ashland Community Hospital and CERT. They will discuss the regional response to H1N1 and scenarios in which volunteers might be coordinated and deployed locally in H1N1 preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery.
