The event will raise money to support Klamath Bird Observatory's conservation projects throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California.

The Klamath Bird Observatory has scheduled its annual Wings and Wine gala from 6 to 9 p.m. on Aug. 22 at RoxyAnn Winery in east Medford.

The event will raise money to support Klamath Bird Observatory's conservation projects throughout Southern Oregon and Northern California.

KBO is a non-profit research organization whose mission is to advance bird and habitat conservation through science, education, and partnerships. It has offices in Ashland and Medford, and field stations across Southern Oregon and Northern California.

The evening will highlight local wineries and foods, music from One Horse Shy, and a not-so-silent auction from 6 to 9 p.m., featuring art, binoculars, guided tours, international getaways and more.

Tickets are available at Northwest Nature Shop in Ashland or Wild Birds Unlimited in Medford for $45 in advance. Tickets will be $55 at the door. Admission includes delicious food and complimentary wine from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information see the Web site at www.klamathbird.org.
