PORTLAND (AP) — Portland Police homicide detectives have launched an investigation after a 3-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl were found in the Willamette River.
The boy was deceased, police say, and the girl was taken to a hospital.
Police say officers were called to the Sellwood Bridge area around 1:20 a.m. Saturday after screams were reported.
Upon arrival, officers tried to find the source of the screams.

Authorities continued to search both sides of the river.
