A 24-year-old man broke the glass of a fire extinguisher cabinet at the Bard's Inn and used the extinguisher to attempt to break into a vending machine.
Friday 4:20 a.m. — A 24-year-old man broke the glass of a fire extinguisher cabinet at the Bard's Inn and used the extinguisher to attempt to break into a vending machine. The man then sprayed the contents of the extinguisher onto two vehicles in the parking lot and smashed the rear window of a third vehicle. Police located and arrested the man three blocks from the scene on North Main Street. He was additionally cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and transported to Jackson County Jail.

Friday 7:48 p.m. — Police impounded a 20-year-old man's pink motor scooter after his license was found to be suspended during a traffic stop on Wightman Street and Siskiyou Boulevard. Police additionally confiscated his license and a small amount of marijuana.
Friday 9:24 p.m. — Police stopped a man for not having current vehicle registration on Ashland Street and discovered that his driving privileges were suspended. Police cited him for driving while suspended and confiscated his driver's license.
Saturday 12:47 a.m. — Police cited a 23-year-old man and 26-year-old man for unnecessary noise after a loud party at their apartment on Lincoln Street could be heard from over 100 yards away.
Saturday 1:54 a.m. — Police arrested a 24-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants at the intersection of Highway 66 and Crowson Road. The man later blew a .13 BAC.
Saturday 9:58 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a non-injury motor vehicle crash on North Main and Manzanita streets. A driver was cited for following too close.

Sunday 3:35 p.m. — Police cited a woman and impounded her vehicle for driving uninsured and failing to obey a stop sign on B Street and North Mountain Avenue.
Sunday 5:09 p.m. — Staff at Helman Elementary School reported a burglary at the school to police. The crime occurred between Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 5 p.m. There are currently no further suspects or leads.
