Hill Creek culvert replacement and Neil Creek bridge replacement projects to be discussed.
ASHLAND — An open house is planned for Tuesday, May 5, to show plans for two projects along Oregon 66 (Greensprings Highway). The public is invited to attend from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the First District 5 substation, 40 Neil Creek Rd.
The two projects:
The $1.1 million Hill Creek culvert replacement project is at
mile point 6.6, east of the old Siskiyou Hwy intersection. Construction will begin after the waters behind Emigrant Reservoir drain below the culvert. Traffic for this single-season project will pass on a one-lane roadway, controlled by a signal.
The $1.9 million Neil Creek bridge replacement project at mile
point 4.4 is scheduled for 2011. Like the Hill Creek culvert project, traffic will pass under a single lane controlled by a signal. This project is currently in the planning stages.
The construction projects will address structural and environmental issues on both projects. Nearby property owners and key stakeholders received individual invitations to the open house.
