Meet at 5 pm and park in the gated area on the Croman Mill site towards the southern end of the property. The gated area is on the east side of Mistletoe Road and is located across the road from the Adroit Construction offices at 185 Mistletoe Road. If you're coming from the intersection of Tolman Creek Road and Mistletoe Road, the gated area is approximately .6 of a mile and on the left just before the bend in the road .
Before they refine plans to create zoning requirements for the Croman Mill property, located east of Tolman Creek Road, Ashland planning commissioners will tour the 60 acres of land.
Instead of holding their usual Civic Center meeting, planning commissioners will visit the property at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Community members can also participate in the walk-through, which will begin at the intersection of Tolman Creek Road and Mistletoe Road. People can park on Grizzly Drive or in the Goodwill parking lot, city officials said.
Beginning May 26, commissioners will work on the Croman Mill plans at their second meeting every month for six to nine months, said Maria Harris, the city's planning manager.
Commissioners will be creating land use rules for the property, the city's largest piece of undeveloped land, on the basis of recommendations from the city council. City councilors have decided that the plans should allow for the creation of business offices, a new street system and a park.
