The Southern Oregon Chapter of the American Red Cross will offer training for babysitters on May 9 in Medford. The training includes what babysitters to know and what every parent wants in a safe and responsible babysitter.
The training is designed for 11- to 15-years-old adolescents.
The Babysitter’s Training course can help babysitters:
Care for children and infants.
Be a good leader and role model.
Make good decisions and solve problems.
Keep children safe.
Handle emergencies such as injuries, illnesses and household accidents.
Write resumes and interview for jobs.
And much more.
The class will be held Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 pm. at the American Red Cross, 60 Hawthorne in Medford. Pre-registration is required. The cost $35.00 and students need to bring their lunch.
