Rotary Club of Ashland hosts 52nd annual Ashland Easter Egg hunt at 1 p.m. Easter Sunday in Lithia Park.

The 52nd annual Ashland Easter Egg hunt is set for Easter Sunday in Lithia Park.

At 1 p.m., the starting siren will sound announcing the beginning of the hunts for all age groups near the tennis courts above the bandshell.

The event is free, and the Easter Bunny is expected to make an appearance.

The Rotary Club of Ashland has sponsored and hosted the annual event every year since 1957. This year David Lively is the event chairperson.

Club volunteers will set up several age-specific areas for children to gather.

Age groups include:

1-2 year-olds

3-4 year-olds

5-6 year-olds

7-8 year-olds

Eggs are donated by the Ashland Safeway Store. The eggs are cooked and colored by Southern Oregon University Cascade Dining Hall staff.

Chocolate eggs and other goodies are included in each age group.

Golden eggs recovered from each age group win a special prize.
