A person reported a neighbor was habitually smoking marijuana in the presence of a newborn baby on South Mountain Avenue.
Friday 8:16 p.m. — Police received a report of possible child abuse in the Ashland area. The case is currently under investigation.
Friday 10:33 p.m. — Police cited a juvenile for operating a vehicle without privileges and driving uninsured during a traffic stop at the corner of Bridge Street and Siskiyou Boulevard. The vehicle was impounded.
Friday 10:42 p.m. — Police arrested a 21-year-old man at Windsor Street and Frances Lane on the power of a Jackson County warrant charging failure to appear in court on three counts of theft. Additionally, the man was charged with giving false information to a police officer, since the man initially provided a false name and date of birth in an attempt to conceal his identity.
Friday 10:42 p.m. — Police arrested a 19-year-old woman on a warrant and for giving false information to a police officer on the corner of Windsor Street and Frances Lane. Additionally, the woman was cited and released for possession of alcohol.
Friday 11:11 p.m. — Police investigated a report of domestic violence on Third Street, but there was insufficient evidence to support criminal charges.
Saturday 1:03 a.m. — Police cited a 24-year-old man for scattering rubbish after he was caught urinating in public on Water Street.
Saturday 1:25 a.m. — Police investigated a report of a 23-year-old woman who was allegedly drugged and sexually assaulted by a 28-year-old man in the Ashland area.
Saturday 3:22 a.m. — A person reported a neighbor was habitually smoking marijuana in the presence of a newborn baby on South Mountian Avenue. The report was forwarded to the department of human services.
Saturday 7:50 a.m. — Police investigated a report of family abuse on North Main Street. After further investigation, the report was determined to be unfounded.
Saturday 9:16 a.m. — A woman reported that an unknown suspect had been in possession of an Oregon driver's license that had her information with a different photograph. The woman was notified after a law enforcement agency in California sent the license to the DMV in Salem.
Saturday 9:18 a.m. — Police found graffiti on six electrical boxes around East Main Street.
Saturday 10:03 a.m. — A nurse at Ashland Community Hospital reported that someone stole a tray containing several different non-narcotic medications.
Saturday 12:37 a.m. — A woman came to the police station to report her car stolen. After further investigation, the woman's juvenile son admitted to taking the car. The car was located at Lincoln school with substantial damage to the passenger side tires. The woman did not press charges.
Saturday 3:26 p.m. — Police transported a man to Rogue Valley Medical Center on a mental health hold after he assaulted his caregiver on Kent Street.
Saturday 3:43 p.m. — Police found a white binder filled with sheets of music lying on the corner sidewalk at the corner of Morton Street and Siskiyou Boulevard. The notebook was placed in lost and found.
Saturday 7:04 p.m. — A woman reported an attempted robbery and assault.
Saturday 10:32 p.m. — Police cited an 18-year-old man for misrepresentation of age by a minor after police discovered that he had used a fraudulent California Driver's License as ID when purchasing beer at 7-Eleven.
Saturday 11:29 p.m. — Police cited a minor for possession of alcohol outside the 7-Eleven. Additionally, he was warned for scattering rubbish after police witnessed him urinating outside of the store.
Sunday 4:58 p.m. — Police received a report of possible child neglect in the Ashland area. The case inactive pending further leads or suspect information.
Sunday 10:28 p.m. — Police cited a 39-year-old man for unnecessary noise after he was found shouting expletives at pedestrians in the Ashland Plaza.
Sunday 10:28 p.m. — Police took a man into protective custody after he was found to be too intoxicated to care for himself in the Ashland Plaza. The man was transported to the Moore Center and was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
