"In Dulci Jubilo" (In Sweet Rejoicing) is the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers' contribution of "joyful noise" to the holiday season. The singers are joined in this festive concert by the Southern Oregon University Faculty Brass Quintet.

Musical highlights include both ancient and modern holiday classics, leading off with "In Dulci Jubilo" and featuring the premiere of composer-in-residence Craig Kingsbury's "O Magnum Mysterium," celebrating the birth of Jesus.

Also included on the program will be seasonal favorites such as "O Come all ye Faithful" as well as Gustav Holst's setting of 19th century poet Christina Rossetti's "In the Bleak Midwinter," contemporary composer Lane Johnson's music set to Longfellow's poem "Snowflakes," and Mel Tormé's "Christmas Song." Traditional carols will be sung with the audience joining the singers.

The mission of the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers is to promote high-quality choral music and to advocate for lifelong choral singing. The group pursues this mission through an annual concert series and by visiting Rogue Valley public schools.

Tickets to "In Dulci Jubilo" are $18 and $5 for students. Tickets are available at the door; at Paddington Station and Music Coop in Ashland; Grocery Outlet in Medford; online at repsingers.org; and by phone at 552-0900.
