Saturday 2:27 p.m. — Police cited a 19-year-old man for shoplifting at Safeway.

Saturday 3:19 p.m. — Police cited a driver for following too close after it was involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of East Main and Oak streets. The other driver sustained minor injuries.

Saturday 4:26 p.m. — Safeway reported a juvenile shoplifter. The case is being forwarded to the Jackson County Juvenile Division.

Saturday 7:48 p.m. — Police arrested a 23-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants after he was stopped at the intersection of Glenn Street and Lori Lane for driving on the wrong side of the road. He was also cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Saturday 10:35 p.m. — Police arrested a 27-year-old man for violating a restraining order on the 100 block of Fifth Street. He was lodged at the Jackson County Jail.

Sunday 12:41 a.m. — Police cited a woman for traffic violations at the intersection of Siskiyou Boulevard and Beach Street and confiscated her license when it was determined her driving privileges were suspended.

Sunday 12:57 a.m. — Police cited an 18-year-old man for minor in possession of alcohol after he was contacted at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Briscoe Place and he displayed signs of alcohol use.

Sunday 9:38 a.m. — A man reported someone stole his wallet from his vehicle while it was parked on the 1600 block of Ashland Street between the hours of 2:30 and 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Sunday 11:23 a.m. — Police arrested a 20-year-old woman and 22-year-old man for assault, disorderly conduct, robbery, theft and harassment after they accosted Safeway security guards who were apprehending them for stealing pantyhose and Q tips. They were lodged at the Jackson County Jail.

Sunday 3:08 p.m. — Police cited a woman for theft after she stole beer and food items from Safeway.

Sunday 6:53 p.m. — Police responded to a domestic disturbance between two males, ages 23 and 24, on the first block of Garfield Street and discovered methamphetamine pipes with residue. Police arrested the 23-year-old man for assault, and he was lodged at the Jackson County Jail. Both men were cited for possession of meth.

Sunday 11:54 p.m. — Police arrested a 41-year-old man for driving under the influence of intoxicants on the 700 block of North Main Street after he was stopped for speeding and failure to drive in his lane.

Monday 7:36 a.m. — Ashland Middle School reported a burglary, with three laptop computers and two LCD computer monitors stolen. The equipment was stolen sometime between about midnight on Friday and 6 a.m. on Monday. The case is under investigation.

Monday 9:30 a.m. — Ashland Middle School staff turned in a found bicycle to police.

Monday 9:49 a.m. — Police cited a male juvenile for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana within 1,000 feet of Ashland High School.

Monday 11:49 a.m. — Police cited a driver at the intersection of North Main and Water streets for careless driving after he rear-ended another vehicle that had stopped for pedestrians.

Monday 12:05 p.m. — Ashland Public Library staff reported graffiti on the men's restroom door.

Monday 12:38 p.m. — A driver reported the hood of their car keyed while it was parked on the first block of Garfield Street between 9 p.m. on Sunday and 12 a.m. Monday.

Monday 12:56 p.m. — Police cited a juvenile girl for possession of marijuana at Ashland High School.

Monday 2:49 p.m. — Police cited a man for driving with a suspended license after he was stopped for traffic violations on the 1400 block of East Main Street. His vehicle was impounded.

Monday 5:11 p.m. — A woman reported that she was the victim of sexual abuse five years ago while she was receiving treatment at Ashland Community Hospital and while she was staying at Country Willows Bed & Breakfast. The suspect was an acquaintance of the victim­ ­and was not a hospital employee. The victim was an adult at the time of the assault and now lives in another state. The investigation is ongoing.
