EUGENE — Freshman Michael Dunigan scored a game-high 18 points and seven other Ducks scored in double figures in a 116-71 exhibition win for the University of Oregon men's basketball team over Southern Oregon University on Sunday in front of 8,259 at McArthur Court.

In addition to the eight Oregon players scoring in double figures, all 13 Ducks in uniform saw playing time.

Five Oregon freshmen scored a combined 82 points.

Dunigan, from Chicago, Ill., added a game-best 13 rebounds and five blocks to power the Ducks. First-year forward Drew Wiley contributed 13 points and six rebounds while playing 17 minutes coming off the bench. Fellow frosh Josh Crittle added 11 points, six boards, a block and a steal.

Oregon shot 57 percent from the field, hitting 45 of 79 of its shots against SOU. The Ducks made 53.3 percent of their 3-pointers (8 of 15), while hitting on 66.7 percent of their free throws (18 of 27). Oregon outrebounded the Raiders, 49-30, while also holding an advantage in assists (20-10) and blocks (7-1).

Southern Oregon was limited to 41.8 percent shooting from the field (28 of 67), including 10 percent from behind the 3-point arc (1 of 10). Southern Oregon's Jarrad Childs led the Raiders with 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting.

Trevor McCay added 12 points.

The Ducks asserted themselves early against the Raiders, using stifling defense to jump out to a 23-3 lead with 14:16 to play in the first half.

Oregon forced 24 turnovers in the game.

Next up for the Ducks is the regular-season opener against Northern Colorado. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday at McArthur Court.

The Raiders are off until Nov. 18.
