Mia Wortel and Leanne Stennett led the Southern Oregon volleyball team to a 25-20, 25-21, 25-21 victory over Corban on Friday night in Salem.
The Raiders improved to 18-9 overall and 16-3 in Cascade Conference play. Corban dropped to 12-12 overall and 10-9 in conference action.
SOU wraps up regular season play Saturday night at Concordia.
Wortel and Stennett combined for 25 kills and only two errors. Wortel went for 13 kills with only two errors and also four blocks. Stennett finished with 12 kills, no errors and seven digs.
Junior setter Lindsey Stone led SOU with 41 assists, while sophomore Maggie Rivers finished with 18 digs and freshman Sarah Holgen had 13 digs.
After winning the first set, Wortel and Stennett teamed up in the second set to give the Raiders the victory. Trailing 21-19, Stennett and Wortel combined for back-to-back kills to tie the set at 21-21. After a pair of Corban errors, Stennett ended the set with two straight kills.
The third set was all SOU as the Raiders wrapped up the match.
