The Ashland High volleyball team swept Klamath Union 27-25, 25-11, 25-19 to win its Southern Sky Conference opener on Tuesday night in Klamath Falls; at Klamath Falls, Chloe Deckwar scored two first-half goals, including one on a corner kick, to lead Ashland in a 3-0 Southern Sky Conference opening victory over host Mazama.

The Ashland High volleyball team swept Klamath Union 27-25, 25-11, 25-19 to win its Southern Sky Conference opener on Tuesday night in Klamath Falls.

Taylor Hartrick turned in a solid all-around performance with 10 kills, eight digs and five blocks for Ashland (9-8, 1-0).

Asia Kane added nine kills and 11 digs, Niki Small had nine kills and four blocks and Monica Palmesano added 10 digs for the Grizzlies.

At Klamath Falls, Chloe Deckwar scored two first-half goals, including one on a corner kick, to lead Ashland in a 3-0 Southern Sky Conference opening victory over host Mazama.

Deckwar tallied in the fourth and 15th minutes. Her first goal was assisted by Katelyn Walker. Riley Smith scored in the 77th minute for the Grizzlies (3-3, 1-0).
