Ethan Schlecht pitched a complete game and Billy Hansen went 4-for-5 at the plate with three triples and four RBIs as Ashland's 14-year-old Babe Ruth all-star baseball team routed Montana 11-3 in the Pacific Northwest Regionals Wednesday at Twin Falls, Idaho.

The victory improves Ashland to 2-1 in the tournament heading into its final pool play game today against host Twin Falls. A win will guarantee Ashland a spot in Saturday's final four-team championship bracket.

"It was nice to see our hitting come back," Ashland head coach Doug Hamel said. "We scored runs with the entire order. We knew we could play better than the game on Tuesday and the kids showed it today."

Schlecht allowed just four hits and two walks while striking out six to pick up the win. He also helped his own cause by going 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and three runs scored. AJ Adams added two singles and two RBIs, Ikaika Cecil had a double and two RBIs and Sam Taylor had an RBI double. Ashland also got key hits from Collin Hamel and Tanner Hoover.
