Police contacted a man for smoking marijuana in Lithia Park. He had a warrant for failure to appear for a charge in Linn County. He was cited and released. He was also cited for possession of marijuana.

A man said that his vehicle had been entered at some point over the past week while parked at Ashland Christian Fellowship. Someone had damaged his vehicle and stole several items. The case is under investigation.

Officers observed a man walking south on California Street near Quincy Street drinking from an open twelve-ounce bottle of New Belgium Sunshine wheat beer. He was cited for open container in public.

A woman said that someone had forged her name on a paycheck issued to her in the amount of $1,054. She also said that during the past year the same person removed $6,000 from her 401K retirement account.

Police contacted a man behind the Furniture Depot for suspicious circumstances. The man had a warrant for his arrest charging failure to appear &
DUII. He was placed under arrest and lodged at Jackson County Jail.
Wednesday, 1:18 a.m. &
Officers witnessed a man provide another man marijuana in exchange for a cigarette. The man was cited and released charging unlawful delivery of marijuana and the other male was charged with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. Both will be referred to Jackson County District Attorney's office.
Wednesday, 4:04 a.m. &
A man was cited for unnecessary noise. Music from his stereo could be heard several houses away.
Wednesday, 7:52 a.m. &
An adult female reported being the victim of a sex offense.
Ashland Fire Rescue
Ashland Fire Rescue responded to 13 emergency calls between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today, including one grass fire, 11 general medical calls and one public service assist. Eight people were taken to the hospital.
