The Ashland Springs Hotel turned over a found debit card to Ashland police. Officers were unable to locate any contact information for the owner.

A man said that someone stole his unlocked bike from the front of the Coop.




Monday, 3:43 p.m. &

A woman said that someone trespassed into her carport, entered her unlocked vehicle and stole some change and her dog's green pillow.




Monday, 3:27 a.m. &

A woman was arrested for DUII. She was cited and released to a sober adult.




Monday, 3:01 a.m. &

An intoxicated male was found urinating in Lithia Park near the upper duck pond. He was cited and released for scattering rubbish and was lodged at detox.




Sunday, 7:39 p.m. &

Police responded to the 500 block of Granite Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. During the investigation, witnesses reported that the male involved in the dispute drove away in the female's car. Officers contacted the man and found that he showed signs of intoxication. He consented to standardized field sobriety tests and showed marked impairment. He later refused a breath test. He was lodged at Jackson County Jail on the charge of DUII-alcohol and was issued a citation for refusing a breath test. No charges were filed relating to the domestic disturbance.




Sunday, 5:47 p.m. &

A woman said that someone obtained her identity through the Internet and attempted to transfer $950 from her Bank of America account. On Saturday, someone tried to open an account at Target in Stanislaus, Calif., using her name and social security number.




Sunday, 4:39 p.m. &

Officers responded to a non-injury accident at Siskiyou and Tolman Creek. A woman was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device.

A man reported the theft of his bicycle.




Sunday, 2:20 a.m. &

Police responded to the area of Ashland and Morton streets for a noise complaint. Loud voices and yelling were heard (several voices yelled "Defense!" all at once) coming from the 600 block of Ashland Street. Officers could hear the yelling from two houses away, but also heard it echo through the neighborhood. One resident was cited for unnecessary noise.

An adult female was taken into police custody because she was too intoxicated to care for herself. The case is cleared by protective custody.




Saturday, 11:33 p.m. &

Officers stopped a car being driven by a male juvenile for an act of careless driving that occurred near the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Ivy Lane. The driver's operating privileges were suspended (violation) and he was not able to show proof that the vehicle was insured. The vehicle was impounded, and the driver was cited for driving while suspended and non-insurance.




Saturday, 10:02 p.m. &

Police contacted a man who was sitting in a vehicle parked underneath a "no parking" sign on Pinecrest Terrace near Elkader Street. The man was in possession of a marijuana pipe and a small amount of marijuana. He was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.




Saturday, 8:20 p.m. &

A female juvenile was cited for minor in possession of alcohol in the plaza.




Saturday, 7:26 p.m. &

Two men were cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.




Saturday, 2:29 a.m. &

A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. Upon further investigation the driver was placed under arrest for DUII. He was transported to Ashland Police department where he was cited and released. His blood alcohol concentration was .07 percent.




Saturday, 1:24 a.m.- An unknown person combined foil, cleaning solution and a bottle to cause an explosion (much like a dry ice bomb) in the plaza next to Southern Oregon University's Glacier Hall. There are no leads at this time.

Officers discovered three adult males camping in Lithia Park. They were cited and released.




Friday, 8:32 p.m. &

A female juvenile was cited for minor in possession of alcohol.

A male juvenile was cited for skateboarding in the downtown area.

A woman was cited for offensive littering.

Two men were cited for having open containers of alcohol.

A woman said that someone removed the driver's sideview mirror from her vehicle. She saw four other cars parked on her street that were missing their mirrors as well.

Miscellaneous personal property was found at 40 North Main Street.




Thursday,11 a.m. &

A woman reported that someone sent her a counterfeit e-mail of a fraud report for her Wells Fargo account. She unknowingly provided her account information and the suspect attempted to withdraw $8,500 from her account. Wells Fargo intercepted the fraudulent withdraw.
