A man was found camping on the grounds of Mountain View Cemetery. Police issued a citation to appear in the Ashland municipal court for prohibited camping under the municipal code. It was found that the man had four active warrants for his arrest out of the Medford Municipal Court (for failure to appear on charges of assault, theft, prohibited camping, and providing false information to police). Officers arrested the man and transported him to the Jackson County jail.

A man reported that someone entered his vehicle and stole a digital camera and a pair of skis.

Police stopped a driver for speeding. He was found to have a suspended driver's license and was arrested for DUII and driving while suspended &
misdemeanor. The man refused a breath test. He was cited and released to a sober adult.

A man was cited for minor in possession of alcohol after he was contacted on the plaza and found to be intoxicated.

Police responded to the SOU Cascade Food Court with Campus Public Safety for a theft report. A man said as students were delivering items from the SOU Hawaiian luau at McNeal Hall to the food court, one of the front doors was left open and two people exited with bags of chips and candy bars.

Officers contacted two people sitting in a vehicle parked on the side of Pinecrest Terrace near Elkader Street. As soon as the passenger lowered her window, there was a strong odor of marijuana and a pipe visible on the seat. The driver claimed possession of the pipe and relinquished a small amount of marijuana in a baggy. The driver was cited for unlawful possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

A Glacier Point Magna mountain bike was turned into Ashland police after it was found at the front of Lithia Park. The bike was placed in lost and found.

A man was arrested and subsequently lodged at the Jackson County jail charging telephonic harassment.

Police responded to the 100 block of Garfield Street to speak with the victim of a dog bite.

A woman reported that someone had damaged several parts of her vehicle while it was parked on the street in the 100 block of Wightman Street. She estimated the value of the damaged property at $450.

A sleeping bag and bedroll were found in the bushes of the church located at 620 Walker Avenue. The items were transported to Ashland police department to be logged into property control.

A woman reported the theft of a backpack from her locked vehicle while it was parked on Frances Lane near Oregon Street. The person broke out the passenger side window.

Police checked a residence on the 400 block of Ray Lane for a man who is known to have a felony warrant for his arrest. He was located at the address and arrested. He was transported to the Jackson County jail.

Officers responded to a report of criminal mischief at 410 Siskiyou Boulevard. A woman said that between — and 8 a.m. someone had used a paver stone to break out one of the front windows of the library, causing $500 worth of damage.

alcohol and cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He was released to a sober adult.

Ashland police responded to the report of a loud party in the 700 block of Park Street. Four juveniles and two adults were cited for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption. A woman was cited for providing a place for minors to consume alcohol.

A man was arrested for criminal trespass on the 100 block of East Main Street. He was transported to the Jackson County jail, where he was lodged. The case is cleared by arrest.

A man was located and arrested on a statewide warrant for parole violation. Prior to arresting him, he resisted arrest, escaped and trespassed through private property on Dewey Street. He was lodged at the Jackson County jail on the warrant with additional charges pending.

A man reported to SOU public safety the theft of his mountain bike from the Stevenson Union bike rack a week earlier.

A man reported that he purchased a cell phone from an unknown person. He brought it to a US Cellular store and they informed him that the phone had been reported as lost in Ashland. The phone was returned.

Detectives viewed what appeared to be a drug deal in Lithia Park, behind some trees near the Perozzi Fountain. Five persons were contacted. A man was cited and released for being in possession of about half an ounce of marijuana buds. He was cited to appear in Municipal Court.

A man said that someone slipped the lock on the back door of the Village Baker, pried open a padlock on the refrigerator and stole $80 in cash.
