A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The driver had no insurance and a suspended license. The driver was cited and the vehicle was impounded.

Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver repeatedly gave false information regarding her liability insurance, eventually admitting that she did not have insurance on the vehicle. She was cited and the vehicle was impounded.

The Ashland High School vice principal reported that someone entered the locked video productions class room between 3:15 p.m. Friday and 11:45 a.m. Monday and removed several items valued at about $100.




Monday, 2:23 p.m. &

A man said that sometime during the evening, someone entered his unlocked truck in the 600 block of Walnut Street and stole a digital cannon camera and a Pioneer XM radio.




Monday, 6:51 p.m. &

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Clover Lane for a reported restraining order violation. A woman said that she received two phone calls from a man she has a restraining order against. The case is being referred to the Jackson County district attorney requesting an arrest warrant for the man charging restraining order violation.




Monday, 7:19 p.m. &

Police were flagged down by a citizen who was concerned about a pit bull running at large in the 200 block of North Mountain Avenue. Officers apprehended the dog and determined it had no tags or contact information. The dog was transported to the Jackson County Animal Control Center and lodged. The dog is described as a small, light brown pit bull with a white chest wearing a black collar and a blue handkerchief.

A woman reported her brother as a missing adult. The man was last heard from in 2004 while he was residing in Ashland. No other family members have been able to contact him. He was last contacted by Ashland police on April 25, 2006 and was listed as a transient in Ashland. He will be entered as missing for a welfare check upon receipt of a signed form from the woman.




Tuesday, 1:15 a.m. &

Two men were cited for unnecessary noise after loud music and voices were heard coming from inside their apartment. The noise could be heard from about 50 feet away.




Tuesday, 1:24 a.m. &

A woman was cited and released for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.




Tuesday, 1:50 a.m. &

A woman was arrested and charged for resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and two counts of criminal mischief. She was lodged in the Jackson County jail.
