At Grants Pass, Ashland won each doubles match to earn a 6-2 nonconference victory over Grants Pass Wednesday.




Ashland coach Dick Streng noted the play of Ed Dickey at No. — singles. Dickey edged Conrad Schulte in a marathon match, 5-7, 6-4, 10-8. Streng said his most consistent performers were the No. 2 doubles tandem of Jeff Laskos and Quincy Briscoe, which defeated Chris Jenista and Ryne Burgess 6-3, 6-0.




Ashland next hosts Thurston on Friday afternoon.

Maggie Schein earned the win at No. — singles for Ashland but the Grizzlies lost the nonconference match 5-3 to Grants Pass Wednesday at Hunter Park.




Grants Pass won three of four singles matches.




At No. 2 doubles, Ashland's Christi Gay and Emily Minasian defeated Jacque Cox and Karlee Albertson 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
