The Crater boys blew past Ashland, 103-44, and the Comet girls completed the sweep, 90-54, at Crater High's Dutch Meyer Field Tuesday.




Marcus Havniear unleashed a state-ranking mark in the javelin (173-4) for Crater. The Comet boys received double individual wins from Kelly Beck (200, 400) and Bowen Feeley (shot put, discus).




The Ashland boys were led by Daniel Cropper, who won both the high jump (5-10) and the 300 hurdles (43.12) and ran the second leg for Ashland's first-place 4x400-meter relay team.




In girls, Ashland's Jordan Kling won the long jump and 400 and ran a leg in Ashland's victorious 4x400 relay team.




Also pulling out wins for the Grizzlies were: Issa Shahin (100), Matt Miner (1,500), Savannah Julian (triple jump), Paulina Belsky (pole vault), Itzel Perez (200), Aria Hemphill (800) and Camelia Mayfield (3,000).




Boys Tennis




North Medford swept the singles matches en route to 7-1 victory over Ashland in boys tennis on Tuesday at Hunter Park.




Colt Hoeptner, David Tribble, Nate Dines and Pojo VanStahl II each notched singles wins.




Jeff Llasko and Quincy Briscoe teamed up for Ashland's lone victory in doubles. Ashland's No. 2 team earned a 7-6, 3-6, 6-0 victory over Nick Hoban and Gabe Laceda.




North picked up a pair of three-set wins at No. — and No. 4 doubles, including Andrew Wachup and Grant Anderson's marathon victory in the four spot. There, the Tornado duo went to a third-set tie-breaker before finally taking down Dane Shewman and Love Silberstein, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6.
