Tuesday, 3:59 p.m. Police responded to a traffic accident at Siskiyou Boulevard and South Mountain Avenue. Two vehicles were stopped at the red light when a third vehicle rear-ended the second vehicle, pushing it into the first vehicle. The driver of the third vehicle was cited for careless driving.




Tuesday, 11:23 a.m. - Sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday someone entered an unlocked car and an unlocked van in the 500 block of Prim Street and rummaged through the glove compartments and center consoles. Nothing was taken from either vehicle.




Tuesday, 10:50 a.m. - Police responded to a report of a man trespassing at the Southern Oregon University library. The man was discovered to have a felony warrant out of Lane County. Police arrested him on numerous charges, including theft, and lodged him at the Jackson County jail.




Tuesday, 10:18 a.m. - A person turned in a found jacket with personal identification in the pocket. The owner was notified.




Tuesday, 9:40 a.m. - Sometime between 10 p.m. on Monday and 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday someone entered three unlocked cars parked in a driveway in the 500 block of Grandview Drive. The person rummaged through the glove compartments and consoles but left without taking anything.




Tuesday, 9:32 a.m. - Sometime between noon on Monday and 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday someone entered an unlocked car in the 700 block of Wrights Creek Drive. The person rummaged throught the glove compartment but took nothing.




Tuesday, 9:19 a.m. - Sometime between 10 p.m. Monday and 8:30 a.m. Tuesday someone entered an unlocked car in the 300 block of Wimer Street and stole several items valued at $160.




Tuesday, 9:03 a.m. - Sometime between 6 p.m. Monday and 8:45 a.m. Tuesday someone entered an unlocked car in the 300 block of Wimer Street and stole several items valued at $400.




Tuesday, 8:53 a.m. - Sometime between midnight Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday someone broke out the passenger-side window on a locked car in the 300 block of West Nevada Street and stole a Valentine brand radar detector.




Tuesday, 7:55 a.m. - Sometime between 7 p.m. Monday and 6:50 a.m. Tuesday someone entered a woman's unlocked vehicle in the 400 block of Prim Street and stole a black soft leather briefcase. The person then entered the woman's husband's unlocked car and stole a tan leather gym bag and $3 or $4 in change.




Tuesday, 6:58 a.m. - Sometime between 12:45 and 6:58 a.m. Tuesday someone broke the driver's side window on a locked car in the 2200 block of Siskiyou Boulevard and stole a radar detector.




Tuesday, 5:23 a.m. - On Sunday an adult male voluntarily placed himself in police protective custody.
