A man reported hit-and-run damage to his fence, the Qwest phone box and the City of Ashland electrical box. The person suspected of doing the damage was located on the 500 block of Oak Street. The owner of the vehicle was arrested for hit and run.




Monday, 3:07 p.m. &

An adult male was taken into protective custody because he was too intoxicated to care for himself.




Monday, 4:45 p.m. &

The manager of Blockbuster video reported that someone purchased items with counterfeit currency. The case is under investigation.




Monday, 6 p.m. &

Police placed into custody a male juvenile for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana. He was found to be in possession of a quarter-ounce of marijuana buds and a digital scale with marijuana residue on it. The juvenile was suspected of conducting a delivery of said substance to another juvenile. The juvenile's parent was notified and he was cited and released from the Ashland Police Department.




Monday, 6:54 p.m. &

A white-and-brown bulldog mix was found in the 400 block of East Main Street. The dog did not have any tags or collar. The animal was transported to the Jackson County Animal Shelter.




Tuesday, 11:30 p.m. &

A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. It was found that the driver had no insurance on the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded and the driver was cited.




Wednesday, 1:38 a.m. &

Officers contacted a man on North Main Street near Hersey Street. The man had four warrants for his arrest from Ashland Municipal Court. The man was arrested and transported to Jackson County Jail, where he was lodged.




Wednesday, 3:52 a.m. &

Between 2:20 a.m. and 3:02 a.m. someone entered an unlocked residence on Takelma Way, while the residents were asleep and stole some items The case is under investigation.
