Four minors were cited for minor in possession of alcohol after they were contacted and found to be intoxicated. All four admitted to drinking. One of them was also cited for providing a place for minors to consume alcohol.

Wednesday, 8:40 p.m. &

Officers contacted a man while investigating an unrelated incident. The man had property which he admitted to stealing from Minute Market. He was highly intoxicated and thought he had a warrant for his arrest. He gave three false names and birthdays in order to avoid the non-existing warrant and a minor in possession ticket. He was placed under arrest and transported to Jackson County jail where he was lodged.

Police were dispatched to Great American Pizza to pick up a found bike. The bike was a painted over blue 21 speed, and was left out in front of the pizza parlor.

Wednesday, 2:48 p.m. &

A male reported the theft of his girlfriend's locked mountain bike from a bike rack located at their apartment on the 400 block of Chestnut Street.

Wednesday. 10:15 a.m. &

Officers found a key belonging to someone they knew. The key has been placed into Ashland Police Department lost and found to be returned to the owner.

Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation and suspicion of being under the influence of alcohol. After further investigation, the driver was placed under arrest for DUII. He was transported to the Ashland Police Department where he refused to take a breath test. He became confrontational and resisted being placed back into custody. He was transported and lodged at Jackson County Jail.
