On Wednesday, Southern Oregon University Student Brian Thoroman was first to walk down the side of a 50-foot-high building on the SOU campus to demonstrate the proper way to rappel Australian-style, head-first. All I kept thinking about was rope burn because he was holding the rope without gloves to control the speed of his decent. Way to go, Brian, on a demo well executed.

To get this shot, I laid on my back with the camera in program mode. Program allows the camera to automatically adjust the shutter and the aperture because Brian was coming down pretty fast and I did not have time to adjust the camera setting.

Specs: camera, Nikon D2HS; shutter, 1/200; ISO, 200; aperture f/11.

See you soon,
