Officers contacted a woman while investigating a report of a possible domestic disturbance. She was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants. She was transported to Ashland police department where she was cited and released to her mother. She was also cited for minor in possession of alcohol. The domestic disturbance was unfounded. Blood alcohol concentration was .17 percent.




Wednesday, 7:40 a.m. &

A vehicle was stopped for a traffic violation. The woman's driving privileges were found to have been suspended and her license was confiscated. She was cited for the violation.




Wednesday, 9:45 a.m. &

Police responded to a minor injury moving vehicle collision involving a bicycle in the Ashland high school parking lot, located at the corner of Siskiyou Boulevard and Morse Avenue. The bicyclist declined medical attention from Ashland fire and rescue. No citations were issued.




Wednesday, 10:14 a.m. &

An adult male reported someone damaged the driver side mirror on his vehicle.




Wednesday, 10:23 a.m. &

A woman reported that two of her unlocked vehicles were unlawfully entered during the night. The woman said that nothing appeared to have been taken from her vehicles, and that the person left behind a set of keys, which police took as evidence.




Wednesday, 11:06 a.m. &

Officers viewed graffiti to a city electrical box at the corner of Sheridan Street and Walnut Street.




Wednesday, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. &

Someone forced entry into a woman's home and took several items belonging to her mother. The person also caused significant damage to the property during her entrance. The person has been listed as missing for several days and her location is still unknown. Case is under investigation.




Wednesday, 12:30 p.m. &

Officers assisted Ashland fire and rescue on the 600 block of Beach Street where an adult male was found to be deceased. An unattended death investigation was conducted. The case is cleared on the advice of the deputy medical examiner.




Wednesday, 3:29 p.m. &

Ashland police responded to the 300 block of Alta Avenue regarding a report of an adult male trespassing in the residence of an adult female. The male refused to leave the residence despite being told to leave. The case is under investigation.




Wednesday, 4:42 p.m. &

Safeway reported having a cooperative male juvenile in custody for shoplifting. The juvenile was referred to JDH charging theft III and released to a parent.




Wednesday, 5:17 p.m. &

A death investigation of an 89 year-old was conducted. There was no evidence of criminal activity.
