Friday, 2:51 a.m. &

Someone forced entry into Puff's Smoke Shop and stole about 9 items. The theft was interrupted by an audible alarm and the person fled on foot and then got into a vehicle parked nearby. Case is open and under investigation.

Graffiti was reported to have been discovered at Green Springs Dorm

Friday, 1:03 p.m. &

A juvenile male was cited and released for shoplifting a pack of gum from the Market of Choice.




Friday, 1:28 p.m. &

A woman reported a hit and run damage to her vehicle while it was parked across the street from her residence on Lincoln Street.




Friday, 2:55 p.m. &

Market of Choice reported having two juvenile shoplifters in custody One was cited and released, and the other was lodged JDH at their direction.




Friday, 11:13 p.m. &

A green 1994 BMW 540i sedan was stolen from Helman Street near North Main Street.




Saturday, 12:43 a.m. &

A woman reported the theft of her purse that was left unattended at Tabu, 76 Pioneer Street.

A woman reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole about $3 in change.

A juvenile was arrested for a probation violation for violating the conditions of house arrest.




Saturday, 3:09 p.m. A resident of Oak Street reported the theft of four skateboards from his front porch area. Four male juveniles were later apprehended and charged with the theft. Three of the juveniles were listed as runaway's out of Medford. All four juveniles were lodged at JDH charging theft I.




Saturday, 3:45 p.m. &

A woman reported that her green 2006 Ford Escape was stolen from the parking area in front of 450 Wightman Street. The vehicle was recovered on Highway 66 near the Old Siskiyou Highway. Under investigation




Saturday, 4:49 p.m. &

Ashland Police department responded to a motor vehicle collision on North Laurel Street. The drivers exchanged information and a report was taken.




Saturday, 5:19 p.m. &

Officers located a vehicle that was listed as stolen out of Medford. Police confirmed the vehicle and a Medford officer came to the location and processed the vehicle.




Sunday, 1:46 a.m. &

A woman was arrested for using an invalid license after she used an altered Montana driver license to enter the Vinyl Club. She was cited and released.




Sunday, 2:21 a.m. &

A man was cited and released for driving while suspended and misdemeanor &

open container of alcohol in a vehicle. His vehicle was impounded.




Sunday, 10:06 a.m. &

A woman reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a lottery ticket. The vehicle was parked in the woman's driveway when the unlawful entry and theft occurred.




Sunday, 2:08 p.m. &

Ashland Police transported a stray dog to the Jackson County Animal shelter. The dog was a medium sized golden retriever. The owner of the dog was notified by voicemail.




Sunday, 7:55 p.m. &

Officers were dispatched to a report of a fight near the Wild Goose. After further investigation it was determined that a man had physically abused his wife. He became upset and physically grabbed his daughter and attempted to leave. During this time two men attempted to stop him by engaging in a physical fight while the man was still holding his daughter. During the fight the daughter had been struck in the face by one of the men. All parties involved were arrested and lodged at Jackson County Jail. The daughter was taken into custody, as the parents could not provide adequate care. Oregon DHS contacted officers at Ashland Community Hospital where the daughter was released into their custody.
