A man was in possession of a stolen passport and a stolen credit card. He used the passport and credit card to receive $40.50 in alcoholic beverages from the Tabu Bar. He fled from an employee of Tabu and attempted to hide by trespassing in a secure area of the Ashland Springs Hotel where he fell and injured himself. He provided the Ashland Fire and Rescue and Ashland Community Hospital with a false name and received services. The man provided a false name to avoid warrant arrests. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail for the following charges: Theft II x 2, ID Theft, Fraud Use of Credit Card, Theft III, Trespass II, Theft I x 2, and False information given to a Police officers.

A woman reported a motor vehicle crash involving her vehicle. A large orange truck rolled back and struck the front of her car causing damage under $1,500. The driver of the truck left the scene without performing the duties of a driver. The woman believes the driver of the truck was not aware he/she struck her vehicle.

A woman reported that someone unlawfully entered her vehicle. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was stolen. The case is inactive pending further leads or suspect information.

Southern Oregon University security staff reported graffiti written on the men's room door in the Visual Arts Building. Estimated damages amount to $35.

A report that two dogs belonging to the same owner had gotten loose, one of which attacked a third dog in the 100 block of Patterson Street causing severe, but non-life threatening injuries to the third dog. The owner was cited and released on municipal ordinance violations to include two counts each of Dogs: control required, and unattended dogs, and one count of control required &
vicious dogs. This was the second known occurrence of this dog attacking another dog. Jackson County Animal Control took the attacking dog into custody.
Ashland Police & Fire Reports
