The Southern Oregon Repertory Singers will perform a program of eclectic choral pieces from across the ages.




Performances will take place at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2000 Oakwood Drive, Medford; and — p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Southern Oregon University's SOU Music Recital Hall, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland.




Featured works include Giovanni Gabrieli's grand "Magnificat" for triple choir, the world premiere of award-winning composer Mathra Sullivan's "O Antiphons," Robert Applebaum's "Funky Dreidl," and a gospel version of "Children, Go Where I Send Thee."




Also on the program are traditional carols from England, Scotland and France with a lush setting of the classic, "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."




There will be a free pre-concert lecture at 2 p.m. before the Ashland performance. Tickets are $18 and $15 for students.
