A driver backed out of a parking spot and collided with a bicyclist that was heading northbound on Winburn. Bicyclist was transported to RVMC for possible head/neck injuries.

Officers viewed a white adult male stumbling along the shoulder of Hwy 99 between the railroad overpass and Jackson Rd. Police contacted the male who had some cuts on his face and a ripped pant leg. The subject, who was very intoxicated, told police that he fell while riding his skateboard. Officers determined the subject was too intoxicated to care for himself. He was taken into protective custody and transported him to the detox center in Medford. The male was also under the age of 21 and was cited for minor in possession &

Police watched an adult male urinate in the parking lot of Wells Fargo. He was contacted and cited to appear in Ashland municipal court for scattering rubbish. At 1:34 a.m Police attempted to stop a vehicle being operated by the same adult male for a traffic violation. The subject accelerated his vehicle and attempted to elude police for approximately 6 blocks using streets and alleys. The subject then exited his vehicle and ran into an unknown person's yard and hid behind a tree. The subject was located and after further investigation was placed under arrest for DUII alcohol, attempted to elude in a vehicle and attempt to elude on foot.

Police were given two cameras found this summer in Lithia Park. The cameras, a Minolta and a Nikon were found this past summer and turned into Park's Rec.

Police viewed graffiti on two electrical boxes out in front of the Plaza Inn Suites. The graffiti was in the form of blue spray paint, showing undecipherable symbols on one box and purple spray paint showing a monkey's head and also undecipherable symbols. The tags were photographed and police used solvent, brush and rags to remove vandalism.

Officers responded to a welfare check on a woman thought to be suicidal. Officers determined the female had injured her husband during a domestic altercation. The woman was lodged at the Jackson county jail charging assault IV.

Market of Choice reported being the victim of check fraud. Case is under investigation.

Police viewed vandalism in the form of two cracked impact marks to a windshield of a pickup on N. Main St. The late model pickup was parked in the back alley behind a residence. The victim stated that he believed the vandalism might have been done at Halloween. It had been three weeks since he had last driven the pickup, so he was unsure of the time frame. There were no clues or evidence of the crime left at the scene.

Detectives viewed a possible drug deal on the plaza and subsequently caught two subjects smoking marijuana in Lithia Park. One subject was cited and released to appear in municipal court in Ashland, on a charge of unlawful possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

An adult male swerved to miss a deer while traveling up Oak St on his motorcycle. He was transported to Ashland Community Hospital for possible broken arm. No citations were issued.
