Tuesday, 8:57a.m. &

A man was stopped for a traffic violation. His driving privileges were found to have been suspended. He was cited and his vehicle was impounded.




Tuesday, 12:45p.m. &

A man reported that between 5p.m. on 10/29 and 10a.m. on 10/30 an unknown subject entered his vehicle, which was parked next to his house, and stole two pistols that were in the car. Tuesday, 3:28p.m. &

Police were dispatched to a report of a fraud suspect at Umpqua Bank. Police arrived on scene and after investigation, found that suspect was trying to cash a check, which was stolen for the amount of $378. The signature on the check was also forged. The suspect was arrested on the above listed charges and lodged at Jackson County Jail. The suspect was also wanted in Medford for stolen checks from the same account. The additional charges of forgery II, possession of a forged instrument II and theft II.




Wednesday, 2:41a.m. &

A woman as stopped on Wightman St near Lee St, she made an illegal turn and her car had no rear lights. She provided a false name and date of birth for the traffic stop. She showed signs of intoxication and consented to a standardized field sobriety tests. She showed impairment on the tests. Police arrested subject for driving under the influence of intoxicants, driving while suspended misdemeanor, and provided false information to a police officer. She took a breath test with a result of .20% blood alcohol concentration. Subject was lodged in jail.




Wednesday, 4:51a.m. &

Police responded to Art FX for a burglary to a business. A person walking by reported the front window was broken and unknown jewelry was taken. The estimated cost of damages is $1,000.00 and the estimated theft valued over $1,000.00.
