As we enter into this season of giving thanks, I'm featuring the category of people or businesses making a positive difference in our community. This week's feature is Eagle Mills Farm for hosting tours for more than one thousand kids each year. The foot traffic on the farm picks up in October because school teachers around the Valley want to educate students about seasonal vegetables.

The children receive an opportunity to sample grapes and view various types of vegetation growing at the farm. At the end of the tour, students harvest their own pumpkin. Volunteers and employees, like Tracy Harding, help students with their selections.
