Jackson County Community Concerts announces the first concert of its 68th season. Presidio Brass will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at North Medford High School auditorium, 1900 N. Keeneway Drive, Medford.




Hailing from San Diego, Presidio Brass presents music ranging in style from Renaissance to contemporary jazz and film scores.




Predominantly active in southern California orchestras, including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the San Diego Symphony, the primary focus of Presidio Brass is to "musicate" children &

the arts' future patrons &

through innovative programs that cultivate musical sensibility and promote discipline and respect. The group will give a special presentation to students at 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning.




In addition to playing with major symphony orchestras, members of the ensemble can be heard on sound tracks ranging from video games to major motion pictures and have performed on television.




The Community Concert Association is a non-profit organization bringing reasonably priced entertainment to the Rogue Valley through the power of prepaid subscriptions.
